EqIA's offer a detailed and systematic analysis of the potential or actual effects of a policy, which is carried out in order to establish whether the policy has a differential impact on different groups of people. They also provide an opportunity for an organisation to think carefully about the impact of their work on their clients and staff. And they provide more and better information to develop and deliver services that meet the client's needs.
