Disability Equality Training

Duration:  One day
Group size:  Maximum 15

Our approach is to create an informal environment to provide a relaxed and non-judgemental atmosphere to encourage staff to explore and challange their own views, assumptions and perceptions. Through experientail learning delegates are encouraged to understand the importance of embracing equality and diversity themselves, rather than being told what to do.  We find this approach creates better outcomes and individual 'buy in'.

Overview:

The course enables delegates to explore the social and attitudinal barriers, as well as the physical barriers that face disabled people as employees, clients or service users.  It considers access to information, events, buisness and social meetings.  The training will give delegates greater confidence in challanging barriers to create inclusive environments for everyone.
